At 02:00 on Saturday, February 2nd, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist a group of motorists who became snowbound on the Sally Gap.
Mountain rescue (MR) personnel mobilised in a convoy of two vehicles, using snow chains, to reach the incident site. The group were transported to safety, without their vehicles, and the incident was stood down at 04:26.
