At 16:17hrs, the Dublin/ Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue were tasked by the National Ambulance Service to assist with the treatment and extraction of a 43 year old male.
While out walking the casualty sustained a knee injury resulting in a suspected dislocation. Once the position of the casualty was located, Mountain Rescue Personnel and National Ambulance Paramedics made their way to the scene. As soon as the patient was assessed and treated, he was then transferred to a stretcher and brought down to the waiting Ambulance at Rescue base.
Team was stood down at 17:55hrs
Duration of incident: 1 hour, 38 minutes.
