At 15:39 on Sunday, June 30th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the National Ambulance Service (NAS) to assist with the evacuation of a hillwalker who became ill near Killakee. After assessment, the NAS ambulance crew were able to escort the patient from the hill. Mountain rescue personnel remained at the scene until the patient arrived at the ambulance.
