At 15:46, on Saturday, April 20th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to come to the aid of a young walker who had sustained a lower leg injury while descending into the Glenealo Valley
Mountain rescue (MR) personnel made their way to the scene near the Glenealo Bridge where the walker was treated by MR medics. The patient was then placed in a stretcher and transported down to a waiting ambulance. The incident was stood down at 18:12.
