At 11.38hrs both DWMRT and GOI Mountain Rescue teams were tasked by the National Ambulance Service through An Garda Siochana for two injured horse riders. Mountain Rescue Doctor and medics arrived on scene to assist. While on scene it transpired that there was only one rider requiring medical care. The woman was assessed and treated and then transferred to a stretcher capable Mountain Rescue Landrover, with the assistance of Greystones Coastguard Unit. She was then transported down to the carpark and transferred to a waiting National Ambulance Service ambulance.
Both teams were stood down at 13.50hrs.
