At 18:31 on Friday, February 5th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána for a 35 year old Mother and two children (aged 7 and 11) who got lost coming off Three Rock mountain. An AGS helicopter was also tasked to fly over.
Mountain Rescue made contact with the Mother and confirmed no injuries.
Fortunately there was Mountain Rescue personnel in the area close to the mast on 3 Rock when the tasking came in and immediately began a track search and made contact with the lost party and brought them safely back to their car.
Incident stood down at 19:08hrs.
Duration of incident: 37 minutes.
