At 16:19hrs, Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the National Ambulance Service to a report of a female mountain runner, who had sustained a fall and hurt her ankle.
The casualty was located by SARLOC Technology and once her position was confirmed Mountain Rescue personnel were able to drive the track system in our response vehicle to within approximately 150 meters of the casualty site. As soon as they arrived, team members accessed the casualty and treated her. The casualty was then packaged and evacuated by stretcher up the steep ground to the location of the vehicles, where they were handed over by MRT members to NAS Ambulance personnel.
Team was stood down at 18:51hrs
Duration of incident: 2 hours, 32 minutes.
