At 12:04 on Sunday, January 5th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist a hillwalker in Glendalough.
The hiker fell and sustained a lower leg injury while walking on the Spink. The patient’s injuries were assessed and treated by a mountain rescue medic. Following treatment, the walker was evacuated by stretcher to a waiting ambulance. The incident was stood down at 14:24.
