At 14:10hrs both Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and GOI Mountain Rescue teams were tasked by An Garda Síochána (AGS) for a group of 9 walkers who had become lost and disorientated in poor conditions and visibility. Mountain Rescue personnel made their way in on foot to find the group who were very cold and wet. After assessing the group, they were given extra clothing along with food and fluids to replenish their energy. When the group ready and feeling better they were able to walk out with the assistance of Team members.
Both teams were stood down at 18:54hrs
Duration of incident: 4 hours, 44 minutes.
