At 17:30 on Saturday, July 13th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the National Ambulance Service (NAS) to assist with two simultaneous incidents.
The first incident, callout 57, involved a person who fell ill on Bray Head. Members of the Wicklow Fire Service were already on scene when mountain rescue (MR) personnel arrived. The patient was assessed and then stretchered to a waiting ambulance by fire service and MR personnel. The operation was stood down at 17:53.
The second incident, callout 58, involved a walker who became unwell on the Spinc in Glendalough. MR medics assessed the walker when they arrived on scene. The patient was then stretchered to an MR vehicle and transported to a waiting ambulance. The operation was stood down at 19:01.
