At 9.55 on Wednesday, June 26th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to come to the assistance of two walkers who became disorientated in poor visibility while hiking near Prince William's Seat.
The walkers made the correct decision to call mountain rescue (MR), and were able to give describe their location over the phone to MR personnel. Using the description MR personnel were quickly able to narrow down where their possible location. A search party was sent in to locate the walkers and then escorted them to safety.
