At 16:46 on Saturday, June 22nd, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist a walker in Crone Wood.
The walker had sustained an upper limb injury and was experiencing significant pain. Mountain rescue (MR) personnel responded and assessed the patient, before treating the injury and administering pain medication. The patient was then evacuated by stretcher to a waiting ambulance.
The operation was stood down at 18:50. Our thanks to the National Ambulance Service (NAS) for their assistance.
