At 16:20 on Sunday, June 2nd, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist a young walker who fell and sustained an injury on the blue route in Glendalough.
The walker was treated on-scene by mountain rescue personnel treated the walker, and then stretchered off the track to a waiting ambulance. The walker was then transported to hospital for further care. The operation was stood down at 17:50.
