At 12:18, on Saturday, April 20th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the Irish Coast Guard to assist at an incident near Carlingford, Co Louth.
In a multi-agency operation, mountain rescue (MR) personnel were tasked to assist Greenore Coast Guard unit, the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Rescue 116, and An Garda Síochána to evacuate a walker who had collapsed on Slieve Foye. MR personnel assisted in treating the walker and helped coast guard personnel with helicopter ground operations. The incident was stood down at 13:19.
