At 15:43 on Wednesday, April 3rd, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to help a school walking group when a member of the group became unwell.
Mountain rescue (MR) personnel along with an advanced paramedic with the National Ambulance Service (NAS) treated the patient before they were transported in an MR vehicle back to a nearby hostel. The operation was stood down at 16:43. Our thanks to An Garda Síochána, the National Ambulance Service, and the National Parks and Wildlife Service for their assistance.
