At 14:42 on Tuesday, March 26th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to help a group of French and Irish students who were walking in Glendalough when one of them sustained a lower leg injury.
Mountain rescue personnel along with National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) staff treated the injured person and transported them back to the upper lake car park to their vehicles. From here they were able to make their own way to seek further medical care. The operation was stood down at 16:30. Our thanks to An Garda Síochána and the NPWS for their assistance.
