On Saturday, 1st of May at 13:24hrs. Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to the area of Glendalough.
A man and his dog became crag fast on one of the Gullies. Fortunately a group of walkers on the board walk passing above the man by heard his shouts for help and alerted the Gardai. After locating the man, Mountain Rescue technical crag teams set up anchor and belay systems and were then able to extract the uninjured person and their dog.
The incident was stood down at 17:54hrs.
Duration of operation: 4 hours, 30 minutes.
