At 13:46 on Monday, March 18th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the An Garda Síochána to assist in an ongoing search in Kindlestown Wood, near Greystones.
The search operation was for a vulnerable missing person, who was believed to have been outside overnight. Mountain rescue (MR) personnel created a search plan and searched the forestry and adjacent land. The subject was found, assessed, and treated by MR personnel. The patient was then airlifted by Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116, accompanied by an MR doctor. The incident was stood down at 17:13.
