At approximately 12:30 on Monday, March 18th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the An Garda Síochána to assist in an ongoing search operation in Carlingford, Co Louth.
While mountain rescue personnel were mobilising, the teams were stood down from the operation. Shortly afterwards a body was recovered from the water between Carlingford and Greenore.
