At 18:04 on Sunday, March 17th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the An Garda Síochána to assist a walker who sustained a lower leg injury on the Sugarloaf.
The walker was assessed and treated by a mountain rescue (MR) doctor and then packaged into a stretcher. The patient was then transported in an MR vehicle to a waiting ambulance. The incident was stood down at 19:17.
