Callout 20 - 12th March 2019 - Glendalough

At 17:13 on Tuesday, March 12th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the An Garda Síochána to search for a walker in Glendalough.

The walker had last been seen at 13:00, and had not returned by an agreed time. Mountain rescue (MR) personnel responded and began searching the walker’s expected route. Sadly, shortly after 18:00 the walker’s body was discovered. MR personnel recovered the remains from the incident site. The incident was stood down at 20:49.
