At 10:35 on Saturday, February 23rd, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the An Garda Síochána to assist a walker near Djouce mountain.
The walker became disoriented in poor visibility, and made the correct decision to call for help. Mountain rescue (MR) personnel located the walker using Sarloc Rescue and sent a hill party to rendezvous with the person at an agreed location. The walker was then accompanied off the hill and transported to safety in an MR vehicle. The incident was stood down at 12:35.
