At 15:44hrs on Friday, March 19th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána for the evacuation of a 73 year old female who had fallen and injuried her ankle.
The patient was located by SARLOC to confirm her position. Mountain Rescue personnel then made their way to her location. As the patient was close to the track, she was packaged and then transferred to the National Ambulance Service Ambulance that was waiting on the track.
The incident was stood down at 17:35hrs.
Duration of incident: 1 hour, 51 minutes.
