At 18.33 on Thursday, February 11th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána Command & Control in Galway. Reports of lights high up on Slieve Foy that appeared to be seeking to attract attention / assistance for help. Rescue 116 was also tasked as were members of the IRCG Unit.
After further investigation and searching, all agencies were stood down by the AGS.
The incident was stood down at 21:37hrs.
Duration of incident: 3 hours, 4 minutes.
