At 13:23hrs, Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue were tasked by the National Ambulance to assist with a 64 year old female who had sustained an injury to her right ankle in the vicinity of Fairy Castle. A Mountain Rescue Paramedic reached the casualty site and performed an initial assessment. The casualty was then packaged and evacuated by stretcher down to a waiting National Ambulance and crew.
Team was stood down at 15:35hrs.
Duration of incident: 2 hours, 12 minutes.
