Callout : 080 – 19th September 2022 – Ticknock.

Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked recently by An Garda Síochána to assist with an ongoing missing persons investigation. The team conducted search planning and search operations between Sept 21st and 23rd, as part of the investigation. Alongside the Gardaí, DWMRT were joined by search dog teams from UK-K9 and K9 Search & Rescue Northern Ireland, and personnel from South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association.


On Friday, Sept 23rd, a specialist search dog team located the missing person's remains, and their body was recovered. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased.


Team was stood down at 10:50hrs.

Duration of incident: 3 days, 18 hours.
