At 13:45hrs approximately, while travelling along the military road from the direction of Kippure towards Sally Gap two team members of Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team who were in one of our response vehicle’s came across an incident involving a cyclist in his 40s who went off the road and landed in a ditch. Being first on scene both personnel made their way to the patient and started assessing the casualty and provided medical intervention until Wicklow fire Service and National Ambulance Service arrived on scene.
At 14.29hrs both team members stood down.
