At 14:34hrs, Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue were tasked by the National Ambulance Service to assist in the extraction of a 57 year old female with a lower leg injury. The casualty had a slipped on uneven muddy ground and sustained an injury to her left ankle, but was otherwise fine, albeit cold. After assessment the patient was packaged and then a short stretcher carry back to the waiting NAS crew and ambulance at the car park in the Wicklow golf club, close to where the incident happened.
Team was stood down at 16:36hrs.
Duration of incident: 2 hours, 2 minutes.
