At 16:28 on Sunday, June 16th, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the National Ambulance Service (NAS) to come to the assistance of an injured walker.
The walker fell and suffered a lower leg injury on the Spinc. Once the injury was assessed the patient was airlifted by Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116 and transported to hospital for further care. The operation was stood down at 18:09.
