Painted by artist and former team member, Margaret Farrell, this painting depicts the close bond and cooperation between Dublin Wicklow and Glen of Imaal Mountain rescue teams and the Irish Coastguard Heli Rescue 116.
Together they share a common purpose, that of saving lives in wild and remote places.
This painting was inspired by a photo taken by Joe Maxwell, a member of DWMRT, at the end of another successful rescue. The title “Shoulder to Shoulder” is taken from “Ireland’s Call”, a song which has a particular significance and poignancy for members of DWMRT.
