At approx 18:00hrs the team received a call from the Gardaí
requesting our assistance.
They had been contacted via 999/112 system by 2 French girls reporting
that one of them had injured themselves while walking on the boardwalk
above the Spink in Glendalough. The initial information from the Gardai was that the injury was quite serious, so based on this we went straight to full callout..
We made contact with the casualty site via mobile phone and the injury turned out
to be a deep laceration to her leg and she was currently making her way back
to the upper lake car park and was now of the board walk and back on the track
The team was put the team back to stand by except those on route, our Landover now arrived
on scene ,the casualty injury had been dressed on the board walk, it was then re dressed
by MR personal on scene and they were transported to the car park, the two girls were happy to
make their own way to hospital..
The team were stood down..
