Wicklow’s Mountain Rescue teams were this afternoon requested to assist the Eastern Regional Ambulance Services in extracting a young male who had sustained injuries to his head and arm following a fall in Glendalough.
The pre-teen from the South County Dublin had been enjoying the good weather along with his family when he slipped and fell from an embankment alongside what is known as the Green Road in Glendalough.
The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team responded to the scene with specialist equipment to safely move the casualty to an awaiting ambulance for transportation to hospital.
