Breaking News.... The Team have been chosen to receive the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Cathaoirleach’s Award for 2011. The award is made annually in recognition of outstanding service to the community of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. Members of the Team will attend a ceremony on 8th June to receive the award.

98FM’s Louise Byrne spent an evening with the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team on a training exercise in Lough Bray in the Wicklow Mountains. Louise was one of the “victims” who needed to be rescued – she was a woman with a serious leg injury trapped on the mountain side. The Team are made up of 40 volunteers who are on call 24/7 and respond to calls for help for those of you who get into difficulty on our hills and mountains.
