Wicklow Way Relay and www.skydive.ieEveryone is (supposed) to be on a taper after a few months of training for the Wicklow Way Relay but we're still gathering prizes for the raffle. One of our team members is just back from The Irish Parachute Club in Clonbullogue after collecting a very generous raffle prize for our Wicklow Way Relay Race - "A Tandem Skydive from between 10,000-13,000ft" - it looks like serious fun and we're very grateful to the Irish Parachute Club for supporting us with this prize. Check them out www.skydive.ie. We have 2 full teams of mountain rescuer hill runners completing the 120km Wicklow Way run on the 11th of June in the Irish Mountain Running Association annual race. Between the 2 teams we will have run 240km and climbed 6,200m (nearly 21,000 feet) in one day to raise badly needed funds. The team’s runners are training very hard at the moment as well as responding to callouts and attending team training sessions. The team’s government funding has just been cut by a third so we really need your help! We are very fortunate this year to have some top class prizes for our Wicklow Way Relay Sponsored Draw - like the parachute jump from www.skydive.ie and the family voucher from www.xtreme.ie. So please support our team members and please support our very generous sponsors and mention that you are a friend of the DWMRT. If you wish to obtain a sponsorship card to fill out on behalf of the team please e-mail recruitment@dwmrt.ie.
