Training with 98fm - Lough Bray - 20th MayWe had a great training session near Lough Bray this evening. The session was part of our preparation for Walk the Line - we were simulating a situation where we had two casualties at the same time - we're sure nothing like this will happen but it's good training anyway. We had two casulaties - the first was a female with a serious lower leg injury and the second was a cold, hungry and cranky male with a dislocated shoulder. People's mood and behaviour can obviously be affected by injuries and the shock that often follows so we try to keep things realistic. Our female casualty was much nicer - we had Louise Byrne from 98fm out with us. She wanted to interview us about Walk the Line but we reckoned it would be better to lose her, find her, treat her "injuries", strap her into the stretcher and evacuate her across rough groud. We think she had a good time - she's signing up for Walk the Line now anyway so it can't have been too bad! Listen out for Louise's report on 98fm over the weekend. Don't forget our Info Night is on 1st June at 19.30 in the Great Outdoors. |
