Oldham Rope Rescue Course

Over what was a quiet weekend in Wicklow for the team, some of our team members travelled to Oldham in England to attend the annual technical rope rescue course held there. Trips like this ensure that Dublin Wicklow MR is up to speed on the latest developments and techniques in Mountain Rescue. The picture shows a stretcher being lowered to a casualty halfway down the cliff face - getting a casualty safely tied into it is a lot harder than it looks!
