98FM’s Louise Byrne spent an evening with the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team on a training exercise in Lough Bray in the Wicklow Mountains.

Louise was one of the “victims” who needed to be rescued – she was a woman with a serious leg injury trapped on the mountain side.

The Team are made up of 40 volunteers who are on call 24/7 and respond to calls for help for those of you who get into difficulty on our hills and mountains.

On June 25th, they’re holding a fundraiser – Walk the Line – 32 kilometres of walking from dusk til dawn from Kilbride in Wicklow to Marley Park in Dublin where you’ll arrive just in time for breakfast. For more details on the walk, go to http://www.walktheline.ie
