24.12.2009 Sallygap, Co Wicklow.The Team was put on standby by the Gardai for a motorist stuck in the Sallygap area due to the poor road conditions. The Gardai then contacted the Team and said a passing 4x4 pulled the car and its passengers to safety. The Team was then stood down. |

25.12.2009 Military RoadThe Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team & the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana for 2 motorists on the military road at Grid Reference O141 185. Their car had come off the road and the clutch had burnt out and they were unable to get down to safety due to the adverse weather conditions. Both Teams responded in 4x4 vehicles to locate the 2 and bring them down to safety. |

20.12.2009 Lough TaySimultaneously a fourth incident occurred on the Military road however this was close to Lough Tay. Again as members of the rescue teams arrived the driver managed to get himself out of difficulty. |

20.12.2009 Sally GapA third incident on the same day occurred at approximately 19:30hrs for another driver who had gotten into difficulty due to the decreasing temperatures and increased treacherous icy conditions on the Military road at Sally Gap, as members of the mountain rescue teams arrived the driver managed to get himself out of difficulty. |
