Callout 40: Three Rock Mountain

On Wednesday 10th August at approx. 8pm the Gardaí requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue. A mountain biker in her early 20's, was mountain biking with a group and fell while descending a rocky path on 3 Rock Mtn. sustaining head and arm injuries. Tibradden Mountain

At approximately 13.45hrs a call was received from An Garda Siochana advising the team of an 83 year old woman with a lower leg injury on Tibradden Mountain. Members of the Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team RV'd at Johnny Foxes pub in Glencullen. The lady was treated by mountain rescue medics, packaged and carried by stretcher to the road head to an awaiting HSE ambulance.

Croagh Patrick

Members of the Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team travelled to Co. Mayo to provide mountain rescue cover for the annual pilgrim walk of Croagh Patrick. At 04:00 the party of 10 members left Mayo Base and ascended the mountain. Fairy Castle

At approximately 16.00hrs the team were contacted by An Garda Siochans for an unconscious male. The casualty was experiencing seizures and was located approximatley 800 metres west of Fairy Castle. After a short period of time the casualty regained consciousness but was very confused and disorientated.
