10.09.2011 Callout 48: KilimanjaroOne of our probationary team members returning from summiting Kilimanjaro was requested to rescue a semi-conscious local Tanzanian porter who had collapsed en route back down the mountain. 19.09.2011 Callout 47: GlencullenAt approximately 02:00hrs the Gardai requested the assistance of mountain rescue to locate a missing 66 year old hill walker. Both the Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team responded. 18.09.2011 Callout 46: BohernabreenaAt approximately 13:00hrs members of the Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were alerted by An Garda Siochana for a 59 year old male who sustained a lower leg injury whilst hunting near Bohernabreena. Team members located the gentleman and began treatment whilst the Coastguard Rescue 116 helicopter was tasked to evacuate the casualty due to difficult terrain. |

08.09.2011 Callout 45: Norland Moor, Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire.2 team members who were attending the wedding of Calder Valley Team Leader Al Day and his bride to be, team member Rachel Smith in West Yorkshire were requested to give assistance to the team who had been alerted to a female walker who had sustained serious injuries having fallen from a cliff. The casualty was evacuated later that evening by a RAF Seaking helicopter. |
