13.03.2011 Glendalough, Co WicklowSunday, 13th March, a 16-year old fell in Glendalough while hillwalking. She lacerated her leg quite badly and needed assistance to return from the mountainside. Members of the Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue team and the Glen of Imaal Red CRoss Mountain Rescue Team were called and the Irish Coastguard were alerted. The day started as a very clear and beautiful day, but later on deteriorated, and by the time they reached the summit plateau, the cloud had enveloped them. 05.02.2011 Annalecka BrookToday, Saturday 5th February at 11.30am Mountain Rescue teams in Wicklow were alerted to an emergency near the Wicklow Gap. Members of the Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team responded with swift water experts to Annalecka Brook where a Kayaker became trapped in a branch in flood waters.
