02.05.2009 Spink - GlendaloughAt approx 18:00hrs the team received a call from the Gardaà requesting our assistance. They had been contacted via 999/112 system by 2 French girls reporting that one of them had injured themselves while walking on the boardwalk above the Spink in Glendalough. The initial information from the Gardai was that the injury was quite serious, so based on this we went straight to full callout.. We made contact with the casualty site... |

30.04.2009 Bray HeadThe Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and neighbouring Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were paged at approximately 4pm to respond to an incident on Bray Head in Wicklow. A male in his mid 20’s had slipped and sustained a lower leg injury, and needed to be evacuated from steep ground for treatment. 13.04.2009 Impact Zone - Glen of ImaalThree hillwalkers who strayed into the 'Impact Zone' in the Glen of Imaal Artillery Range in bad weather with poor visibility were located by Mountain Rescue and Defence Forces personnel earler this afternoon. The walkers, a man and two women in their 30's were reported to be a little cold, but in good spirits and without injury. 11.04.2009 Crone WoodAt approximately 14.30 Bray Gardai contacted the Team directly in relation to a phone call they received from a 17yr old male who had become seperated from the rest of his group. The lost walker was a member of a Wicklow Scout group who were camping in Powerscourt Estate and had been out on a walk with a few others from his group.
