At approx 18:00hrs the team received a call from the Gardaí requesting our assistance. They had been contacted via 999/112 system by 2 French girls reporting that one of them had injured themselves while walking on the boardwalk above the Spink in Glendalough. The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and neighbouring Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were paged at approximately 4pm to respond to an incident on Bray Head in Wicklow. Impact Zone - Glen of Imaal

Three hillwalkers who strayed into the 'Impact Zone' in the Glen of Imaal Artillery Range in bad weather with poor visibility were located by Mountain Rescue and Defence Forces personnel earler this afternoon. At approximately 14.30 Bray Gardai contacted the Team directly in relation to a phone call they received from a 17yr old male who had become seperated from the rest of his group. The lost walker was a member of a Wicklow Scout group who were camping in Powerscourt Estate and had been out on a walk with a few others from his group.
