25.04.2011 Glenmalure, Co WicklowOur fourth callout on the Easter bank holiday monday began at 6pm, and consisted of a missing 16 yr old teenager who was walking with his family but had become separated from them. They had been walking near Lugnaquillia near Glenmalure and had lost contact from each other in the Kelly's Lake area, quite high up on the mountain. 25.04.2011 Inchavore Valley - Lough DanThe ambulance service requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue for a hillwalker who had been camping in the Inchavore valley near Lough Dan and had fallen and injured his lower back and ribs. The Irish Coastguard was available to assist with their Sikorsky Rescue helicopter. Both the Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team responded to the request for help with the rescue operation... |

25.04.2011 Borenacrowwoman - Wicklow WayThe ambulance service requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue for a lady who sprained her ankle on the Wicklow Way near Borenacrowwoman. The Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched. A 4x4 mountain rescue vehicle was able to reach her and her companion and the lady was treated by mountain rescue team medics and trasnported to the car park and handed over to an awaitin... |

25.04.2011 "The Spink" - GlendaloughThe ambulance service requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue for a woman who fell on the 'Spink' whilst walking in Glendalough and had injured her shoulder. The Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched and the lady was treated by mountain rescue medics on scene and stretchered from the top of the cliffs to an awaiting ambulance on the forest tracks.
