The Gardai activated the team's pager requesting the Team's assistance for a lady in her 40's who has taken a tumble off the boardwalk and injured her knee.
The casualty was out walking with a number of others when she took the fall and badly hurt her knee.
Casualty location is roughly 300m past the viewing point on the Spink in the direction of the miners village.
The Mountain Rescue hill party arrived at the casualty site scene at 14.44hrs. Access to the casualty site is by following the blue route and cutting up the forest break.
The casualty was a 49 year old female and was treated for a knee injury and also for hypothermia. She was stretchered out from her location to a track before transported to rescue base.
She was then transported by ambulance to Loughlinstown Hospital.
