At Approx 20:50hrs both the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team where tasked by the Gardai to assist a female mountain runner who had sustained a lower leg injury while competing in an organised event.

The female who was injured close to the summit of Scarr Mountain, was treated by mountain rescue personnel on scene and the stretchered to an awaiting MR 4x4 vehicle and transported to the village of Roundwood and transferred to an awaiting ERHA ambulance.
