At approximately 16:20 Dublin Fire Brigade Control centre received a call from a foreign driver stranded in the area of Sallygap.
The DFB Control requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue throught the Gardai.
As the Team were mobilising mountain rescue 4x4 vehicles to go to the area, we received a call back from the DFB Control centre to standown as the motorist eventually self rescued themselves with the aid of another driver.
