A call was received from a local TD who reported that there was approx 6 people stranded on the Sally Gap Road due to heave deposits of snow on the road due to adverse weather conditions.
Both the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and our neighbouring team the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team, sent two 4x4 vehicles to the aid of the stranded motorists.
While the M.R. vehicles were making their way to the incident site, the stranded motorist made contact to inform the Mountain Rescue that they had been assisted by some helpful locals, who had brought them to safety, both M.R. Teams were stood down.
