The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Teams pagers were activated by Garda Command and Control centre, looking for the teams assistance. Two walkers who had started out on the walk from Fentons in the Glen of Imaal had ascended lugnaquilla and due to poor visibility had become disorientated.
Members of the Mountain Rescue Team who were on a navigation training exercise on the other side of the mountain, headed to locate the missing duo. A short time later as the visibility increased, the pair self located themselves and with the aid of a local farmer were returned to the vehicle. The team was the stood down.
