At approx. 16:44hrs on Valentine ’s Day, the Gardai requested the assistance of Mountain Rescue to locate a missing mountain biker. Two Hungarian friends had set of from Crone car park earlier that day to go on mountain biking expedition. Sometime during their outing the two friends became separated. When one of the friends arrived back at the car park at 14:30hrs and did not find his friend he waited until 16:30hrs before he became afraid for his friends safety. He decided to call for help and the Gardai tasked both the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team to coordinate the search. Before a full team callout was put into operation we received word for the incident site that the second mountain biker had turn up safe and well.
